• Account information— email address, full name, and a unique user ID, collected during account registration.
• User-generated content— scripts, captions, topics, brand details, and other content you create within the app.
• Purchase history— records of in-app credit purchases made through Apple StoreKit 2.

Your data is collected through:

• Account registration— when you sign up for a hookd account.
• In-app content creation— when you use the app's tools to create scripts, captions, brand pitches, and other content.
• In-app purchases— when you purchase consumable credits via Apple StoreKit 2.

3. How We Use Your Data

All data is collected and used solelyto provide the app's features. Specifically:

• To create and manage your account.
• To store your content so you can access it across sessions.
• To send your content (scripts, captions, topics, brand details) to AI services for generation purposes.
• To process and record in-app purchases.

4. Third-Party Services

hookd integrates with the following third-party services:

• Supabase(authentication and database storage) — stores your account information and all user-generated content securely.
• OpenAI via OpenRouter(AI generation) — user-provided scripts, captions, topics, and brand details are sent to OpenAI through OpenRouter to generate results. Your content is not used to train AI models.
• Vercel(hosting) — hosts the web application.
• Apple(in-app purchases via StoreKit 2) — handles payment processing for consumable credit purchases.

5. Data Sharing

Your content is shared with OpenAI (via OpenRouter) solely for AI generation purposes. We do not sell your data. We do not share your data for advertising purposes. No data is shared with third parties beyond what is described in this policy.

6. Data Retention

Your data is retained for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, all associated user data is permanently deleted through a cascading delete from the authentication system. No data is retained after account deletion.

7. Your Rights and Controls

You have the following rights:

• Account deletion— you can delete your account and all associated data at any time by navigating to Profile > Delete Account within the app.
• AI data sharing consent— you can revoke consent for your content to be sent to AI services at any time via Profile > AI Data Sharing toggle within the app.

8. Children's Privacy

hookd is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will take steps to delete that information promptly.

9. Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your data, including:

• All data is transmitted over HTTPS with encryption in transit.
• Supabase Row Level Security (RLS) ensures that users can only access their own data.
• Passwords are never stored in plaintext; authentication is handled securely by Supabase.

10. Cookies and Tracking

hookd does not use tracking technologies, third-party analytics, or advertising SDKs. We do not track your activity across other apps or websites. No cookies are used for advertising or analytics purposes.

11. In-App Purchases

hookd offers consumable credits purchased through Apple StoreKit 2. All payment processing is handled by Apple. We do not collect or store your payment information (such as credit card numbers). Purchased credits do not expire.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you via an in-app notification. Your continued use of hookd after such changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
